Overview:

Situated in the West of Luton, Chantry Primary Academy is an inclusive, diverse, values-based school where pupils and staff are highly motivated to achieve their very best. With reading at the heart of our curriculum we seek to use literature to inspire and engage pupils in their learning. Stories and books have been carefully selected in an effort to bring the world to our doorstep and to help pupils to develop a sense of curiosity and inquisitiveness. Our Wow- Factors and Fantastic Finishes at the beginning and at the end of every half-term ensure that our curriculum is enriched with exciting, experiential learning.

At Chantry we view teamwork as being a vital component to growth and development and as part of the Pioneer Learning Trust we work in very close partnership with two other Luton primary schools. We also share ideas and embark on joint initiatives with the 13 other neighbouring schools (nursery through to secondary) who, along with us, make up the ‘West Area Partnership.’  The school is also home to two specialist provisions – one that supports visually impaired pupils from around the town and a second, New Horizons, that works with families and pupils from across the West Area Partnership.

We have recently been the proud recipient of the Enhanced Values-based Education (VbE) Quality Mark. This highly prestigious award recognises the magnificent work that the school does in equipping our pupils with a strong set of core values to help guide them through life’s many challenges and to help them play a productive role within their community. Our Values Programme permeates through all we do.

At Chantry we make it our mission to provide a safe, structured supportive environment in which children can learn, grow and flourish as individuals. This is achieved through collaboration between all staff and pupils, through our values programme and through embracing a caring, family approach.
